NorseStar Security · course artifact for SEC590

Six homepage directions.
Pick one.

Draft homepages for norsestarsecurity.com — the public, fun companion site for our SANS course (an homage to the defunct Norse Corp). Every direction already includes the SEC590 course page (both of us as authors + the 5-day curriculum) and a live Resources section wired to our weekly AI-pentest-tool index. Same content, six skins. Click any thumbnail to open the full, live page.

🗳️ To vote: reply on Signal with your pick — M1–M6. Rank a top 2 if you like. Mixing is fine (e.g. "M1 home + M5 resources page").
M1 · recommendedM1

Heir to the Map

The direct Norse homage — dark navy, violet→cyan, animated live-attack arcs. Truest to Norse's own palette; reads as a real company.

M2M2

Bifrost

Norse mythology — serif headlines, gold + ice-blue, runic glyphs, bifrost ring. Leans into the name over the company.

M3M3

Modern SaaS

The credible one — light mode, indigo/teal, Wiz/Vanta-clean. Most "real 2026 security vendor." Only light option.

M4M4

Terminal

Phosphor-green CRT hacker aesthetic — ASCII banner, blinking cursor, monospace. Speaks straight to the hacker crowd.

M5 · for ResourcesM5

Threat Console

Data-dense live product — attack map, threat feed, charts, ticker. Best showcase for the live tool index; great as the interior Resources page.

M6M6

Editorial

Brutalist research magazine — cream/ink/red, oversized grotesk. Positions it as a serious authored body of work.

Norse Corp 2016

The homage: Norse Corp, captured Jan 2016

Four days before Krebs broke its implosion. "The world's largest dedicated threat intelligence network," famous for the live attack map and Viking-helmet swag — flamed out in weeks (CEO fired, ~30% layoffs, the map dismissed as honeypot eye-candy). The spirit animal for a fictional course company. M1 deliberately channels that dark/violet/"LIVE ATTACKS" lineage.
